If you’ve heard of Bubble Trouble, chances are that at one time you were really bored or you needed a simple game that would rob you of a few hours. Bubble Trouble displays simple graphics and offers a true challenge, as it is in the nature of true arcade games. Shoot harpoons at balloons The goal of the game is simple. You have a harpoon gun which you must shoot at balloons that jump around and each time you hit one, it splits into two more balloons. It’s like you’re a little pink Hercules that has to kill the balloon equivalent of the Lernaean Hydra.
As the balloons get smaller and smaller, they are more difficult to pop because they bounce around at very small heights, making it easier for them to hit you. If they do so, you have to restart the level. Things get really complicated as you go along Initially you start off with one bouncing balloon but as you advance, things turn out to be really complicated because splitting multiple targets leaves you with even more balloons to dodge.
Hand eye coordination must be close to perfect if you want to get to the last level and you really do need a good strategy. For example, you should stick to eliminating one balloon at a time instead of multiplying them until you have no room to move without being hit. On the plus side, apart from an increase in level difficulty, the game also provides various powerup which you can collect and use to your advantage. True arcade fun Bubble Trouble is a great example of how a casual arcade game should be. Simple and challenging for players of all ages, as well as playable on just about any PC.

Bubble Trouble X 1.1 Ambrosia's classic game Bubble Trouble is now swimming in Aqua on Mac OS X, along with a spiffy new level editor. Bubble Trouble X also features improvements such as being able to play it in the multi-tasking friendly 'in a window' mode. Bubble Trouble is a classic arcade game in which cutthroat fishies are playing hardball in a squabble over some very wet turf. Think of it as splatball for insufferably cute seafaring critters (hey, they need their fun too). Bubble Trouble's world is filled with lusciously-drawn cartoony critters who give that cranky crab from 'The Little Mermaid' a run for his money. But money isn't what you'll be running from: an otherwise peaceful fish bowl has been filled with bubbles that are being tossed around in an enthralling game of 'Squish the Fish!' Rated 2 out of 5 by mrm2006 from A Match 2 Game? While the game description gets us all revved up on the possibility of making matches of pairs of like colored bubbles, it neglects to inform us that this is more a game of strategy, stealth and speed (hah - the 3 s's!). Strategy because you have to figure out just which 2 like colored bubbles to go after because, while the octopus CAN hold 4 bubbles, remember that it also has to MATCH at least 1 to keep an open 'hole'. Stealth because you have to move in a fashion that will NOT get your octopus to the top and thereby drown by air?
Speed because you had better work fast or, at least once you level up past 10, your octopus will find itself in trouble - either having 4 balls and it cannot match a single one or because your moving it too slowly to make the appropriate matches in time. Also, if you get 'game over' in levels 1-10 you have to start over from Level 1 again. Levels 11-20 same thing. You could be at Level 19 and get 'game over' and have to start back at Level 11. But, be careful, because the octopus will go back to Level 1 unless you manually move it up to the next back of levels. I don't do well in games of strategy or speed so this is definitely NOT a purchase for me.
I suppose I could recommend it for those people who have nothing better to do than be bored out of their minds by a senseless, pointless game but. I won't Happy Gaming!
